The xx met at school in Wandswort southwest London, and in 2005 they formed a four piece band. They’re signed up to the ‘young turks’ label and recently released their debut album simply titled ‘xx’. It took 2 years to produce and was released on August 17th 2009. To date they’ve released 4 singles, Crystalised, Basic Space, Islands and VCR.
